One of my favourite places to visit is the Chalice Well gardens at the foot of Glastonbury Tor. The design of this beautiful pendant is based on the cover of the Chalice Well.
In Welsh and Irish mythology wells often represents a gateway to the spirit world, and the vesica piscis design of two interlocking circles on the cover of the Chalice Well represent the overlapping of the inner and outer worlds. The circles are divided by a sword (believed to be Excaliber) and the floral imagery represents the local foliage that is revered for flowering at midwinter.
